A consultation with the designer is generally the starting point.  A consultation is a great way to get to know each other and hear some of the designer’s ideas.  Consultations vary in price so that can be discussed prior to the visit. Prioritize your expectations before the designer arrives so that you can maximize your time together. Before you finish your consultation, make sure you clarify how to proceed with the designer.  This will also help you understand what exactly you both need to do to keep things heading in the right direction.
